This project in Blurton involved converting an underutilised garage and utility area into a versatile multi-room living space, including a new bedroom, bathroom, and dedicated utility area.
The goal was to turn a cold, basic storage space into a warm and functional part of the home. We achieved this through a complete structural and interior overhaul.
Key features of this conversion included:
Full Insulation: The entire space was fully insulated to modern standards, ensuring the new rooms remain warm and energy-efficient year-round.
New Electrics: We installed a complete electrical package, including modern recessed LED spotlights and new power points throughout the suite.
Professional Plastering: All walls and ceilings were professionally plastered to a smooth, high-quality finish, ready for the homeowner to add their final decorative touches.
New Windows & Doors: We installed a new white uPVC window.
Modern Flooring: A durable, stylish tiled-effect floor was laid across the area to tie the utility and living spaces together seamlessly.
Internal Layout: The space was carefully partitioned to create a private bedroom and a functional bathroom, alongside the organised utility zone.
By rethinking the layout of the original garage, we have provided the homeowners with essential extra living space and modern facilities without the need for a costly extension.
