This project involved creating a level, elevated seating area using heavy-duty timber sleepers to build up the ground. By using the sleepers as a solid retaining frame, we were able to install a flat, usable space on an area of the garden that was previously sloped.
What We Did
Natural Indian Stone: The patio is finished with multi-tonal Indian sandstone, giving a high-end and durable surface.
Elevated Platform: The timber sleepers raise the area above the lawn, creating a distinct "platform" feel for outdoor furniture.
Integrated Steps: We built wide, sturdy sleeper steps to provide a clean and safe entrance onto the patio.
Sleepers as Edging: The timber acts as both a structural retainer and a decorative border, separating the stonework from the surrounding flower beds and greenery.
